Jesus, Living God!

Join the throng that
praised Jesus on that
first Palm Sunday!
Set to a familiar tune.

Recording
Printed Music

Who is He
Robed in light,
Radiant one at the Father’s right?
Hear Him speak.
Life is born,
Gracious gift from our loving Lord.
It is Jesus!
It is Jesus!
He is life and light from the Father’s heart.
Lord Almighty, Holy,
Jesus, Living God!

Who is He,
Truth and grace,
Peasant child in the poorest place?
Selfless love,
Spotless lamb,
Dying King and the Great I Am.
It is Jesus!
It is Jesus!
He is life and light from the Father’s heart.
Lord Almighty, Holy,
Jesus, Living God!

Who is He
Lifted high,
King of Kings at the Father’s right?
Lamb of God
Reigning now!
Lord of Lords! Every knee will bow!
It is Jesus!
It is Jesus!
He is life and light from the Father’s heart.
Lord Almighty, Holy,
Jesus, Living God!

Great Is Your Faithfulness (Easter)

This hymn broadens the impact of the
familiar and much-loved hymn.
New words to the verses trace
God’s faithfulness through Jesus’
life,
death, and
resurrection.

Recording
Printed Music

Word from the Father, my Savior, my Brother,
You fill our flesh with pure life from above.
What truth and grace, every word, every moment –
Unchanging faithfulness, unfailing love!

Refrain:
Great is Your faithfulness! Great is Your faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Your hand has provided.
Great is Your faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Great is Your faithfulness when, in Your anguish,
You freely pay what compassion demands,
Silently suffering unspeakable sorrow,
Love pouring out from Your head and Your hands.

Great is Your faithfulness when life seems finished,
Hopelessly silent and sealed in the grave.
Then love explodes in full power and glory,
Boundless, triumphant, almighty to save!

The Fullness of God’s Glory

We glimpse God’s magnificence
in creation, but
we see it fully
in Jesus Christ.
Set to a familiar tune.

Recording
Printed Music

The heavens sing a somber hymn
Of greatness dark and deep,
Of endless realms of time and space,
Of mysteries they keep.
But all that is and yet shall be
And all that mind can know
Are only whispers of a God
Far greater than the whole.

Yet all the fullness of this God
And all that He has done
Now shine in all their majesty
In Jesus Christ His Son.
This boundless God is flesh and blood,
And we have seen His face-
The glory of our Living Lord,
The fountain of His grace.

The fullness of our Father God
Resplendent in the Son
Reveals the holy majesty
Of all we will become.
His Spirit glows within our hearts,
A glimpse of what will be:
His glory blazing out through us
For all eternity.

One Lost Sheep

God views unbelievers,
not with revulsion, but with
a Father’s deep love.
He yearns for them as His
lost children,
lost treasures,
unspeakably precious.
Two musical settings are provided,
one familiar (EVERLASTING LOVE, below) and
one fresh (CHIC SHAVER).

Recording
Printed Music

Just one lamb has gone astray,
Weak and wandering, far away.
See the Shepherd leave the rest,
Filled with love for one distressed.
Hear the name He loudly cries!
Mercy floods His anxious eyes!
Braving dangers dark and deep,
Still He seeks His one lost sheep.

Though nine pearls are safe and sound,
We will search till one is found.
Other thoughts are set aside,
Wondering where a pearl might hide.
One that’s lost is not disdained –
It’s a treasure to be gained!
Each is dear, uniquely prized
In its Maker’s loving eyes.

How a Father loves His son,
That in spite of all he’s done!
Feel His deep compassion burn
As He greets His son’s return.
See no angry thought arise.
Tears now wash His laughing eyes.
Join all heaven’s joyful sound!
Celebrate! The lost is found!

Pictures of God’s Love

Throughout His life and teachings,
Jesus drew a variety of pictures of
the Father’s love.
The most compelling was
His own self-sacrifice.
Set to a familiar tune.

Recording
Printed Music

A father runs with streaming tears –
His son, once dead, now lives!
His joyful love gives just a glimpse
Of how our God forgives.

A leper comes back home again,
The lame now leap and dance –
God’s gifts can only start to trace
The deep, divine romance.

His flesh and blood, our bread and wine –
He makes Himself our feast.
In death He serves His life to feed
The meanest and the least.

Discover now by childlike faith
What God delights to show:
A joyful, overflowing love
That every life can know.

Christ in Psalm 3

Christ is
our shield and our salvation
in the face of
evil and all its threats.
To a familiar tune.

Recording
Printed Music

Evil opposes You, my Lord,
And those You free from sin.
It sneers and shouts its deadly lies
And whispers here within.

You are my shield, O living Christ,
My truth, my strength, my light,
My joy, my song throughout the day,
My keeper through the night.

I can lie down and safely rest,
Secure in all You are –
Unfailing light when all is dark,
The Bright and Morning Star.

You are salvation, O my God,
Pure love in all You do,
And all are holy, safe, and strong
Who simply trust in You.

Transfiguration Hymn

This hymn helps
bring home the truth about the
transfiguration of Christ, and
to a familiar tune.

Recording
Printed Music

See our Lord in all His glory,
Now arrayed in dazzling white!
See Him shine in holy splendor,
Bathed in everlasting light!
See the law and prophets gather,
Lifting high the Living Christ!
Lifting high the Living Christ!

See the cloud of ancient fire
Guiding through our wilderness.
Hear the voice of God our Father.
Hear the love His words express:
This my Son is pure and pleasing.
Hear the blessing that He brings!
Hear the blessing that He brings!

Jesus Lord, we see Your splendor
Here and now by daily faith.
In our service, in our suffering
We will follow unafraid,
On from glory into glory
Till we see You face to face,
Till we see You face to face.

Be Still

Like a lullaby,
this hymn calls us to
rest in
our heavenly Father’s arms.

Recording
Printed Music

When all you see is darkness,
And pain is all that’s real,
When empty words and promises
Don’t change the way you feel,

Refrain
Child, be still,
Be still,
Be still and know I am God.
Be still,
Be still,
Be still and know I am God.

When heaven doesn’t answer
Your deep and desperate prayer,
When grief for those so near and dear
Is more than you can bear,

Remember, I am always good,
Though shadows hide my face.
Don’t ever fear what lies ahead,
For all I am is grace.

Psalm 28

This Psalm setting is
a cry of trust
in deep need,
set to a fresh arrangement of
a familiar tune.

Recording
Printed Music

Death and darkness, fear profound,
Luring, threatening all around,
Empty claims and selfish lies,
Angry, lost-and-desperate cries.

Lord, to You alone I turn,
Asking help I cannot earn.
You will listen, You will hear
Faith imperfect, yet sincere.

I am blind, and You are sight.
I am shadow, You are light.
I am weakness through and through;
You, the strength that I pursue.

Saving, blessing, loving Lord,
Shepherd, sovereign, feared, adored,
Always right in all You do,
Mighty God, I trust in You!

Beyond Myself

This hymn asks God to stretch
our faith and
our love
beyond ourselves.

Recording
Printed Music

Beyond myself, Lord,
Beyond myself –
Draw my eyes, draw my thoughts
Beyond myself.
As I face this day,
As I pause to pray,
Father God, draw my thoughts
Beyond myself.

Beyond my needs, Lord,
Beyond my needs –
Lead my heart, lead my hands
Beyond my needs.
In this sea of pain,
Lord, Your will is plain.
You are love. Lead my hands
Beyond my needs.

Beyond my strength, Lord,
Beyond my strength –
Make me strong, make me bold
Beyond my strength.
I am weak, it’s true,
But I live in You.
Father God, make me bold
Beyond my strength.
