Come, Our Lord!

Lift your eyes to the
new creation!

Recording
Printed Music

Lift up your eyes
To the earth we now can see.
Lift up your hearts
To the world that soon will be.
Life will be new,
And its sorrows come no more.
We hunger for Your new creation.
Come, our Lord!
“I’m coming! I’m coming
To the loved ones I adore.”
We hear Your voice and trust Your promise.
Come, our Lord!

See all the joy
On the Father’s smiling face.
Come, feel the warmth
Of eternal love’s embrace.
Taste all the fruits
Of an Eden now restored.
We sing the hope that rises in us:
Come, our Lord!
“I’m coming! I’m coming
To be with you evermore.”
We hear Your voice and trust Your promise.
Come, our Lord!

Come, join the meal,
With the family all around.
Come, drink the wine
Of a love now more profound.
Breathe all the peace
Of His blessings now outpoured.
The Morning Star is brightly shining.
Come, our Lord!
“I’m coming! I’m coming,
So be patient through the storm.”
We hear Your voice and trust Your promise.
Come, our Lord!

Ultimate Urgency

A reflection on Revelation 22:6-16,
be ready

We are approaching the gate to eternity.

The end will come
quickly,
suddenly,
unpredictably,
irreversibly.

The fate of each person will be eternally fixed.
The righteous will go to
complete, unending union with
the Source of all good.
The wicked will go to
complete, unending separation from
the Source of all good.
Heaven or hell,
blessed or cursed,
inside or forever outside.

Jesus had seen
earth and heaven,
time and eternity.
He spoke of His return and the judgment
with absolute, ultimate urgency.
His coming again was
the overriding reality that should determine
our every decision,
our every priority.
He urged us,
implored us to
get ready and
stay ready.

Jesus Messiah is coming, coming.
He who has come will be coming again,
Coming in clouds with great power. See Him!
As He ascended He’s coming again!

Angels will gather His people. See them!
All will be changed in the blink of an eye.
We will be like Him in glory, glory.
Lift up your heads — He is coming again!

Then every eye will behold Him, see Him.
None will ignore or deny Him that day.
Hear all the mockers now weeping, wailing.
Make yourself ready — He’s coming again!

Be on your guard, ever watching, waiting,
Trusting, obeying, and looking to Him.
Stay at your task and be faithful, faithful.
Live in the joy — He is coming again!
