A Hymn based on
Mark 10:13-16; Colossians 3:15, 17; 1 John 3:18; 4:7-21
A thankful heart, a thankful heart,
Lord, grow in me a thankful heart.
So many gifts You give each day!
I ask one more: a thankful heart.
A simple faith, a simple faith,
For every need, a simple faith.
Father, You hold me in Your arms,
So give Your child a simple faith.
A life of love, a life of love,
In Jesus Christ a life of love.
Lord, as I live and breathe in You,
This wealth is mine: a life of love.
A thankful heart, a simple faith,
A life of love in You each day
Till we are one and face to face
And all is joy and endless praise!
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with loving-kindness.
(Jeremiah 31:3, NIV)
From our birth to our death
God Almighty showers us with
His guidance, and
His daily care.
Consistently and constantly,
in big ways and small ways, He says,
“I love you!
You can trust Me!”
As you live day by day,
are you responding to His love?
Your present and future happiness depend on your responses.
Father, when You bless me,
I will thank You.
With every need,
I will turn to You and trust You.
As You love me,
I will love those around me.

Hymn: A Thankful Heart
Printed Music & Lyrics
The Lord is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.
(Psalm 145:9, NIV)
When someone else is “lucky,” I sometimes feel a little jealous.
It’s not a storm of jealousy…just a whisper.
But God has many children, and
He is lavish with them all.
They are my brothers and sisters,
dearly loved by the One I love.
Because they are dear to Him,
they are dear to me.
I see my Lord in them.
I love Him in them.
I serve Him in them.
There is no place for jealousy.
Lord, let praise always be my reaction to Your goodness.
I will rejoice in all our blessings,
even when they fall on the next person,
not on me.
