Jesus Messiah is coming, coming.
He who has come will be coming again,
Coming in clouds with great power. See Him!
As He ascended He’s coming again!

Angels will gather His people. See them!
All will be changed in the blink of an eye.
We will be like Him in glory, glory.
Lift up your heads — He is coming again!

Then every eye will behold Him, see Him.
None will ignore or deny Him that day.
Hear all the mockers now weeping, wailing.
Make yourself ready — He’s coming again!

Be on your guard, ever watching, waiting,
Trusting, obeying, and looking to Him.
Stay at your task and be faithful, faithful.
Live in the joy — He is coming again!

Stay Ready

A reflection on Revelation 16,
the pouring out of the bowls of wrath

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
(2 Peter 3:9, NASB)

Our loving God is so patient.
He seems to
delay and
delay and
delay His return,
anxious for all to repent and come to Him.

But our patient God will not delay forever.
He warns us that after delays that seem endless,
the end will come suddenly.
The God who has waited for so long will move
quickly and decisively.
That is His way.
He will come unexpectedly,
like a thief in the night.

Turn to Him
Give yourself completely to Him
Whatever good you know to do,
do it now.

The only way to be ready for
that unknown day and hour is to
stay ready.
Stay busy at your assigned task.
Stay faithful.
Keep your hopes and desires focused on
Him alone.

Hymn: Christ Is Coming! Lift Your Eyes!
Printed Music & Lyrics

Mighty Day

Printed Music

When the heavens roll and tremble,
When the moon has turned to blood,
When music has fallen silent, Lord,
And fear comes like a flood,

Won’t it be a mighty day!
Won’t it be a solemn day!
Won’t it be a joyful, endless morning, Lord,
When we see You face to face!

Can you hear the peoples wailing,
Can you hear the shouts of praise
When everyone sees eternal truth
Too late to change their ways?

Keep your heart all tuned and ready!
O be faithful to the end!
Your Father will smile and speak your name:
”Well done! Come enter in!”
